Jodie Kidd's striking looks and talents as a racing driver, polo player and golfer have earned her a reputation as a glamorous, clean-living tomboy.
Add her effortless access to the inner circle of high society events across the jet- set world, and Jodie Kidd has a lifestyle that millions might envy.
Until now. Yesterday the 6ft 1in supermodel - who counts Princes William and Harry among her friends - woke up to find herself facing extraordinary allegations that she helped supply cocaine and regularly took the Class A drug herself.
And she is accused of attempting to trade on her royal connections to get a business venture up and running and of making unflattering comments about the Royal Family, including describing Prince Philip as "mad".
Miss Kidd, the face of Marks & Spencer's credit card, is alleged to have openly discussed drugs at a business meeting in a Central London restaurant.
But the men the 28-year-old model believed to be potential investors in a polo club she is trying to set up with her brother Jack were undercover reporters.
Yesterday the News of the World claimed that Miss Kidd offered to get cocaine for the "businessmen" and called a dealer on her mobile phone, arranging for three grammes to be delivered to her brother's home.
Asked if the cocaine was "good quality", she allegedly replied: "I'd do it. I'm not going to do s**t. It's not the best, but it's what we can do at half past 12 at night."
Jack Kidd, Jodie's brother was also targeted in the drugs sting.
Back at her brother's manor house in the village of Holyport, near Windsor, Berkshire, she took £150 in cash from the reporters and handed it over to her dealer in exchange for three "wraps" of cocaine.
Her brother then allegedly said: "Next time you come, give us some warning. We will get a load for you."
Miss Kidd was said to have boasted that she knew at least a dozen dealers in the Windsor area and in Billingshurst, West Sussex, where she has a £600,000 farmhouse.
Last night she was holding crisis talks with her brother at his home, where her Maserati sports car was in the drive.
They refused to answer the door. Yesterday's report claimed that Miss Kidd had boasted that she could persuade William and Harry to attend events at the planned polo club.
She allegedly said: "Prince Harry is very good. I'll try and speak to Harry about it."
She is also said to have claimed she could use her friendship with rugby star Mike Tindall to attract Princess Anne's daughter Zara Phillips to events.
And, according to the report, she went on to describe Prince Philip as "mad" and called Prince Andrew "Airmiles Andy" before telling an anecdote about playing polo with Prince Charles and accidentally knocking him off his horse.
Miss Kidd also talked unflatteringly about fellow celebrities, claiming that Victoria Beckham "kind of attached herself" to the supermodel when they met at a fashion event, adding: "She's certainly not a model."
About the Beckhams' marriage she said with a click of the fingers: "She wears the pants, which is amazing because he is the one who could have anyone in the whole entire world."
Miss Kidd then apparently turned her scorn on fellow model Kate Moss.
She allegedly said: "Kate was very cool but she got a bit affected. They get very affected by stardom. It goes to their head."
When it was mentioned that Miss Moss's career had not been affected by her cocaine habit, Miss Kidd said: "It did. Ten times better."
Miss Kidd had the harshest words for Naomi Campbell apparently describing her as a "****ing monster!"
